Pricing Debates Arise for the iPad Mini

As CNET’s Rick Broida points out, Apple may be forced to a certain price range to sell the iPad Mini due to their most recent reveal. At last week’s product launch event, Apple announced it’s next-generation iPod Touch. The device has a slightly larger screen, faster processor and better camera. The new iPod starts at $299.

Apple isn’t likely to sell two products (the iPad Mini and Touch) at the same pricepoint, $299.It’s much more likely that the smaller iPad will be set at $349 or $399 to start. CNET’s Lori Grunin: “They’re two different customers: people who want something small enough to fit in a pocket and people who want something with a big screen. It’s a little un-Apple, but I don’t think it’s crazy.”
