In the recent week a malicious email spam attempt has been circulating inboxes around the world. The email comes from Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook and is titled “Dear Facecbook User”. The email claims that Facebook and Apple have teamed up to offer a limited time iPad 3 giveaway lasting one day only.
The email pushes you to visit a shady website where your sensitive information is asked for. Symantec was the first to report on this today (January 24). It’s important to be careful opening and clicking on any links in emails.
